Tips on how to find the perfect fit
Comfort and style go hand-in-hand and finding a pair that fits just right is essential. Here is how to find the perfect style and fit this summer. Well-fitting women’s sandals should be comfortable and offer proper arch support. When it comes to the width and the length, your foot should fit comfortably within the sandal, with no overhangs. Your heels shouldn’t extend past the soles in the back, as that portion of your foot won’t be protected, and the straps can cut into your skin, which can be painful and restrict circulation. Similarly, your toes shouldn’t extend past the front of your shoe, as your toes can get injured.
Should I go up or down a size?
As a rule of thumb, your whole foot should sit inside the sole of your sandals when you stand upright. That often means you might need to go at least half a size up when purchasing sandals. The extra third or fifth of an inch will give you enough wiggle room, making walking in your sandals more comfortable and helping you avoid foot pain and discomfort. Nevertheless, if your sandals are too large, you can face other problems, such as your feet sleeping around in the shoe and straining your ankle or even impacting your posture.
